When we arrived at the ranch, we had two cattle guards to cross to get to the house. At the first one, there was a new barbed wire fence across the grate. At the second grate there was the usual board blocking the crossing - but THIS was found on the inside - IN the front yard...
Now, I'm no country girl, but I was pretty confident that this young one belonged on the OTHER side of the cattle guard and fence. After chasing the cow out, who chose to jump over/thru the cattle guard instead of the big open gate we opened for him, we closed all barricades and went on a hunt. We found the hole in the fence around the back of the yard at the edge of the forest. Now we just had to find where the tools were hidden....
But we got distracted by the beautiful sunset and had to snap a few pictures first...
back to work (I'm glad it was the wood fence that had a hole, and not the barbed wire fence)
nice...
enjoying dinner at the ranch
I told you we were city girls, it seems that it may have taken 3 of us to close the gate, hahaha.
Off to go hiking again!

Apparently those cattle gaurds don't work too well to need gates in addition!

Reminds me of Blake and Cache playing on the texas gate! Funny girls!
I just caught up on your last few posts...how is life with a child away from you?
