THE RELAXING TRIP HOME- REXBURG CAVES

Keeping with our nature/ caving adventures on the way down to Utah, we decided to check out another cave on the way home.  We stayed a  couple of days in Rexburg on the way home from Provo, to visit, and relax.  It was so nice to not be in a hurry!!

Scott suggested we might like the Civil Defense Cave just north of Rexburg.  The entrance is not marked, so we went on a bit of a scenic tour of the sage brush and lava fields, but that's ok because I was laughing the whole time about the memory of Craig in the same terrain as he was on alert for snakes :)

The cave was totally cool.  Really, it's just an empty lava tube, where the lava once ran, and then emptied out leaving a cave behind.  Too bad the pictures don't do it justice....again.
