MAGRATH DAYS

Craig invited us to Magrath to watch the rodeo, mutton bustin, greased pig chase etc.  The dust was so thick, and poor lighting, so we didn't get good pictures in the Agriplex.  But we did get some cute ones after.

Craig helping to 'grease' the piglet for the kids to chase.  They actually use shampoo to make it slippery.  Huh, who knew?

Emma jumping into Waterton Lake.  One of the Priesthood leaders didn't think ANY of the girls would jump in or get their hair wet.  He doesn't know these girls very well.  ALL of them jumped into the freezing cold glacier water - getting fully submersed, and going again and again.

Ross trying to succeed at a 'Minute-to-win-it' game.  (Put a deck of cards on the top of an empty pop bottle, blow them off - leaving only the last card - ONE last card.  It's do-able, but not as easy as it sounds).

Emma at the same activity.  Trying to get the oreo cookie from her forehead down her face and into her mouth, without using her hands.

Emma at the same activity.  Cup stacking and back down in under a minute.  36 cups.

UNWANTED FRIENDS!!!

One night we looked out the window to see this, or rather 'these' digging around under our front porch, ugh!  Can't tell what you're looking at.....scroll down...

There was a momma, and her 4 kiddies!!!  YIKES!

Thankfully we haven't seen them for several weeks now, and we never did smell them!
(the babies sure were cute though)

UNIVERSITY FRIENDS & ROSEBUD

Traditions are good.
For the past several years we've had a reunion of sorts each summer with some of our favorite people.  Bruce had THE best roommates at University (back in the day...). Last summer as we sat around on the deck at Sylvan Lake chatting, while the 17 kids were inside playing games, it was decided that this summer we would go to the town of Rosebud, Alberta to see the play "Oliver" together, and stay over at the bed and breakfast.  The town of Rosebud is TINY!!  Apparently they have an acting school there, and put on plays several times a year.    These are just a few pictures from our weekend together.

The B&B we stayed at:  The Rosebud Country Inn

p.s. the play was actually pretty good, the B&B was delightful, and the company was fabulous
